Pilar 7 - Bridge Experience
Lisbon’s new attraction, Pilar 7 – Bridge Experience – continues to astonish its visitors since it opened in 2017.
Located in Avenida da Índia, this new attraction features a panoramic viewpoint on the bridge’s deck level and a virtual reality experience inside its pillar.
Climbing to a platform it allows the visitor to be surrounded by the blue waters of the Tagus River and as one emerges from these virtual waters, and reaches the top you can feel, hear and see the train that crosses both margins as it approaches.
Recently awarded “Best Public Project” in the category of Engineering by “Prémios Construir”, this is a unique experience not to miss.
Hippotrip
Onboard an amphibious vehicle, one can explore the heart of the Portuguese capital, by land and by the river, without leaving the comfort of your own seat. Is it a bus? Is it a boat? Well, it’s both…. so get ready to plunge into the Tagus River with a big smile on your face!
Oceanário
Another “son” born out of EXPO´98 was the Oceanário de Lisboa, a large public aquarium whose prestige is widely recognized, not only in Lisbon and in Portugal but also across the world and has reinforced the ancient bond between Lisbon and the ocean.
Visited by roughly 1 million people every year, the Oceanário is the most popular cultural attraction in Portugal.
Pavilhão do Conhecimento
This is the biggest interactive science center in Lisbon, originally built as part of the 1998 Lisbon World Fair and as one of its most iconic pavilions - the Pavilhão do Conhecimento dos Mares (Pavilion of the Knowledge of the Seas).
The main exhibition hall was designed to accommodate a ship from the São Jacinto Shipyards. With an architectural project from the atelier J.L. Carrilho da Graça and exhibition design by the atelier ARX Portugal, this was one of the most visited pavilions of the EXPO´98, with 2,543,914 visitors.
In 1999, the venue opened again as a science center: the Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Ciência Viva. Since then it has been welcoming hundreds of visitors each day and became an institution of reference for the promotion of scientific and technological culture in the Portuguese society.
Lisbon Escape Hunt
Known as the “most innovative team building experience in Lisbon”, Lisbon Escape Hunt offers a state of the art gameplay.

Labirinto Lisboa
Labirinto Lisboa (Lisbon’s Maze) offers you a ride back in time to witness, first hand, Portugal’s darkest historical characters, and legends come to life.
This is the first Portuguese horror house, in the heart of historic Lisbon, near Cais do Sodré and Mercado da Ribeira. It is a permanent haunted attraction, with an immersive entertainment experience that combines live scare actors with special effects, across different environments, where guests explore a winding labyrinth of dark passageways and surprising chambers.
Feira da Ladra
The “Feira da Ladra” or Thief’s Market has its origins in the Middle Ages, during the 13th century, and is the oldest market of Lisbon, that it is still currently active.
Illegal in the beginning the fair took place in many historic places but, nowadays, the traders here are perfectly legal, and they show their goods in the Campo de Santa Clara street, in the São Vicente de Fora district, close to Alfama. The market starts at the Arco de São Vicente, an arch near where the famous Tram 28 stops.
Lisboa Story Centre
Located in the Terreiro do Paço, this interactive experience tells from the past to the present, the city's main historical events.
Erected on the hills bathed by the River Tagus and looking towards the Atlantic, Lisbon is a fascinating mosaic of memories, stories, and influences that can still be seen in the urban landscape of this unique city.
At the Lisboa Story Centre, visitors will travel through time as if making their way thru an illustrated book brought to life. Scenography, multimedia, and sensory experiences are used to present a dramatic retelling of the main events of the city's past, in the site bordered by Lisbon’s Downtown and the Terreiro do Paço, exploring the myths and realities of this ancient city.
In a playful and interactive approach, always respecting the city’s historical past, the Centre offers visitors a journey with approximately 60 minutes.
