This is surely the most symbolic coffee shop in Lisbon. Founded in 1905 by Adriano Soares Teles do Vale, it was, from 1910, the stage of countless intellectual, artistic and literary gatherings, from which Fernando Pessoa stood out, who was later immortalized in a bronze statue located in this coffee shop’s outside terrace.

With a unique location, it is also distinguished for keeping the furniture from its early years and for displaying a collection of antique instruments.
Casa Havaneza
Casa Havaneza was founded in 1864 and is the oldest tobacco store in Lisbon, a store that held, at the time of its foundation, the exclusive import of "Zig Zag" tobacco paper, featuring a unique variety of tobacco, cigars and cigarettes.
Caza das Vellas Loreto
Founded in 1789, its initial purpose was to supply candles for the city streets’ illumination. Nowadays, its main focus is dedicated to the manufacturing of all types of candles, from scented to decorative and hand embroidered ones.
Its interior keeps the original decor with wood-lined walls, very similar to a church.
